nqBASIC

I would like to use an MCP23017 Port Expander which specs say runs at 100khz or 400 khz clock rate.

I cant find any info on the clock rate for I2C feature in Nqbasic to run on a nanocore 12Dx.

Does anyone know what the I2C rate the nanacore runs at ? or does it even matter with the MCP23017?
